So this weekend was a bust for me. From Friday night, all the way up through Tuesday until around 6pm I had only slept maybe 10 hours, and on Monday night I didn't sleep at all. I was running on no cylinders, no oil, and actually very little food. I can attribute this to that maze algorithm I mentioned in a previous post. There's something missing from the algorithm, and I can't quite put my finger on it. When I focus in on finding a solution to something, it seems like time just flies without me knowing.
With that said, I presented my progress to Calvin (Senior Project instructor), and he was satisfied with the result. At that point I decided I could relax. I'll make a post on my progress later tonight, when I'm home again. Anyway, the meeting was at 9:30am, and I would be at school until 5pm. So I struggled through the day with a small half-hour nap during some free-time, and by the time I got home, I was DONE. I made myself a meal, did my internet rounds, and jumped in bed fully intending to take a nap. My head hit the pillow, and I was out.
To be honest, this was the first uninterrupted session of sleep I've had in probably near half a year... and it was AMAZING. I woke up around 3:15am, confused. I had no idea what time it was, and I was sure I had class in a couple hours. When I checked the clock I was even more confused. I couldn't remember what time I fell asleep, or under what conditions. I got up for some water and decided there would be little chance of me staying awake all the way up to class time. So I got back in bed and watched the first episode of Archer Season 2... then passed out again.
I woke up at 11am noticing I had missed my first class of the day... lol.
Sure, the second half of the night wasn't a solid block of sleep, but I think I needed it just as much. Two nights worth of sleep. I have to say I'm kind of proud of myself, but at the same time, I wish I had spent some time doing homework. -_-
